
Machine Shed
...an earlier work that led to current landscape work, 20 x 26 inches, on paper, 1984. My 6 year old self loved living on the farm. It was often a magical and happy place, but reality conspired to send us elsewhere. The late summer evening before we had to leave for good, I remember making an important issue out of climbing on the machine shed roof and looking very closely at everything, one last time. To my young mind, it seemed that inventing a ritual would help. So as the evening approached, I sat quietly on the roof and looked really closely at all the things in the distance, and said……goodbye hill, goodbye far field, goodbye quarter mile road, goodbye grandpa`s house, goodbye summer house, goodbye chokecherry valley……… Free shipping within Canada and the USA.
