Acrylic painting October High Ground by Harry Stooshinoff

October High Ground

Acrylic on thin gessoed Masonite panel 8 x 8 inches, signed lightly in pencil. This work is presented in a modern way, mounted on a recessed wooden support that pushes the piece 3/4 of an inch forward from the wall. The advantage to this method of presentation is that it hangs beautifully on the wall without the visual distraction or competition that often happens with a frame. The back support is held in place with 100% silicone adhesive, allowing the painted panel to be safely removed from the support, should another method of framing be desired at a later date. The back support is notched, so no additional hanging apparatus is required.
